One 2 Seven

How to Play:

  • Players stand in a circle. Begin with each player in turn numbering off, starting with one and going to seven (Player 1 says One, player two is Two, and so on until Seven. Player 8 will be One, starting the sequence again). Continue around the circle a few times before moving on.

  • Once everyone is comfortable with the basics, introduce a new option for players to do on their turn.

    • Say their own name instead of "One"

    • Bow instead of "Three"

    • Hop instead of "Five"

  • If at any point a player makes a mistake, they must run a lap around the circle and come back to their original positon. While they are running, another player will begin the number chain again. Multiple players might end up running at the same time, so it is important to establish the direction of running (clockwise or counter-clockwise around circle).
