How to Play:
All players stand in a circle, arms-width apart.
Players are given a unique number, starting with the facilitator (who is King John)
The player to the right of King John is One, the next player is Two, and so on until each person in the circle is assigned a number.
King John begins the game by accusing someone in the circle of killing King John. They do so by accusing a player calling them by the assigned number.
If accusing Number Four, King John would say, “Number Four killed King John!”
The accused player responds, “Not I!”
King John responds, “Then who killed King John?”
The formerly accused player now becomes the accuser, and proceeds with the same script as before.
The Script:
King John: Number Three killed King John!
Number 3: Not I!
King John: Then who killed King John?
Number 3: Number Seven killed King John!
Number 7: Not I!
This continues until someone is eliminated from the game. The eliminated player takes the spot of the last player and numbers shift as necessary.
If there are numbers 1 to 10 and number 6 is eliminated, 6 becomes 10, 7 becomes 6, 8 becomes 7, 9 becomes 8, 10 becomes 9.
Numbers 1 to 5 are unaffected by this change and keep their original numbers.
King John then begins a new round of accusations.
The accuser may accuse anyone in the circle of killing King John except for themselves. They are allowed to accuse King John of killing King John, or even the person who just accused them.
If King John is eliminated, that player becomes the new highest number (in the previous example, King John would become number 10 and number 1 would become the new King John).
Elimination:
Players may be eliminated by:
Not saying the scripted lines correctly.
Not saying the scripted lines with energy.
Accusing oneself of killing King John.
Hesitating when accused.
