How to Play:
Players are in a circle, arms-width apart.
A dodgeball (or similarly sized ball) is introduced and a number is chosen by the facilitator.
Between 30-50, depending on the group size and dynamics.
Number should be on the higher side, to create a true challenge for the group.
The ball is tossed in the air and players must keep it from touching the floor. Each time someone hits the ball up, the group counts (ie. Toss ball, someone taps it up so the group counts “One” then another player taps the ball up “Two” and so on…)
If the ball touches the floor, the count is reset to zero, the ball is tossed in the air again, and another attempt begins.
Notes:
Encourage all players to count together whenever the ball is hit up. If even one person isn’t counting with the group, the tally is invalid and the game must begin again.
For this exercise, lightly tapping the ball upwards will be more effective than hitting it like a volleyball towards another person.
